City & Guilds Module 3 (PLEASE CALL FOR DETAILS)

Description

The third and final module towards the full City & Guilds qualification in Mobile Air Conditioning Systems. This two day diagnostic training course is completed with and practical and oral examination.

The Candidate will be required to:

Have an understanding of the function, layout and operating principles of the vehicle air conditioning systems, components, service equipment, tools, materials and procedures required for system diagnosis.

Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of operation, purpose, construction, diagnosis, removal, refitting and maintenance of the air conditioning of vehicle air conditioning system components.

Diagnose faults with the use of manifold test gauges and the ability to carry out repair procedures for either the expansion valve or fixed orifice tube vehicle air conditioning system.

Have a clear understanding of the climate control systems, configurations, operations and components including diagnostics.

Demonstrate the use of diagnostic tools for climate control systems such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, fault codes, code readers and break out boxes.

On completion, successful candidates (If completed and passed Modules 1&2) will qualify the full Level 3 City and Guilds qualification in Mobile Air Conditioning Systems.
